Farm Pick-Up Member Registration
Thank you for your interest in Blooming Glen Farm CSA for the 2012 growing season. Please read the following information carefully.
Our harvest season begins at the end of May and runs until early-November, for a total of 24 weeks long. A full share costs about $33 a week. That amount brings you a lot of fresh produce of incomparable quality (as well as 3 months of beautiful pick-your-own flowers), but it also brings you a lot more: a meaningful connection to your food, the land where it grows, and the community of people who help grow it.
New this season: delivery to drop-off sites! Click here for more information about our 16 week boxed share delivery option.
Payment Options
You will have the option of making a full payment (Full share: $795; Split share $415 per partner), or making a down payment (Full share: $250; Split share: $125 per partner). If you make a down payment, the full balance is due by MayJuly 1st. (Payment plans are always available upon individual request.) Note: You save $5 if you make one payment instead of two. Paying in full saves us time and you some money!
Important: You must have a partner in order to register as a split share, and both partners must complete an online registration form and each must send in a down payment. Typically one split partner picks up one week and takes the whole share, and the other partner picks up the alternate week taking the whole share. We do not recommend you split up the share each week, though some people do. If you are unable to find a split partner please let us know and we will do our best to match you with someone. A split share is essentially a half share, except for registration and pick-up purposes, you are partnered with another family or person. Instead of assigning half shares a specific every other week pick-up, we believe having a split partner gives you the flexibility of coordinating vacation time with someone else, and is a great way to foster community building.

2012 Work Commitment
For 2012, work opportunities will be voluntary, and are not required of our members. For those who choose to come out to volunteer work opportunities, not only will you have fun getting to know your farmers and fellow CSA members, but you will also learn more about what goes into growing your food. Jobs range from harvesting, mulching and weeding to helping staff events and contributing to the newsletter. We will have an online calendar listing the dates of work opportunities, and will also send out emails as they arise.
Share Pick-Up
Shares are available for pick-up on Tuesday or Thursday, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. We harvest only full shares. Therefore, those who split shares must determine the logistics of picking up and dividing shares. We strongly suggest alternating pick-up weeks. Please read the CSA Rough Guide to learn the logistics of Blooming Glen Farm CSA’s on-farm pick-up.
2012 Member Agreement
- In becoming a member of Blooming Glen Farm CSA, I recognize that due to the inherent risks of farming there are no guarantees on the exact amount or type of produce I will receive.
- All farm members are responsible for learning how the Blooming Glen Farm CSA works. It is my responsibility to pick up my share at the designated time.
- I have read and understood the most recent edition of the Blooming Glen Farm CSA Rough Guide.
- I understand that there will often be pick-your-own crops (some vegetables, herbs and flowers), which may lengthen the time it takes me to pick up my share. However, I am free to come back within a week to do my pick-your-own’s.
- All parties who split a share should understand that they are entitled to just one share in common, to be collected on the indicated day by one share partner.
- I also understand that if I cannot continue my share, I will not be refunded the share price.
I have read the above information, and I agree to the terms of the 2012 Member Agreement.
